What parking equipment does ParkingChief need?
Scan-to-pay needs only QR code signs and the driver's phone, with no kiosk to buy. Gated lanes run on LPR cameras, gates, kiosks and pedestrian doors supplied by ParkingChief. Gated, gateless and hybrid facilities all open the same kind of session, so you can start with one location and add the next when you are ready.
How do drivers pay without an app?
Drivers scan a posted QR code, pick a duration and pay from their phone's browser with a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. No app download and no account. They get an SMS receipt with a short link to extend or view the ticket.
What is the difference between scan-to-pay and pay-as-you-go?
Scan-to-pay charges a fixed duration up front and lets the driver extend by SMS link. Pay-as-you-go has no end time: an attendant (valet) or the LPR camera at the lane (gated) confirms check-in and check-out, the ticket shows a running total while they park, and the card on file is charged only for the time actually parked.
Does ParkingChief support valet?
Yes. Attendants create tickets at the curb on a handheld device, capture plate and condition photos, and hand the parker an SMS e-ticket they can request their car from. Payment and merchant validations are taken at pickup, card tips are recorded on the ticket, and ticketing keeps working when the network drops.

Yes.
